Remanufacturing of no longer available cylinder head gaskets in small series
In this case we managed the remanufacturing of a cylinder head gasket for Mercedes-Benz 6-cylinder engines. The particular challenge was to come close to the original with the remanufactured gaskets.
Our manufacturing partner for seals has realized the features of the original gasket like metal sourrounds at the cylinder bores, inlays from copper and the characteristic silikone print on the new gaskets.
To compensate the change of the compression ratio at overhauled cylinder heads the new cylinder head gasket slightly thicker.
